The idea for “Indra’s Dreams” came to me when I saw my dog sleeping. She seemed to be talking in her sleep. She was growling. She was snorting. She was squeezing her eyes shut. She was changing position. And I thought she was dreaming. And if she was dreaming... What was she dreaming about?Then the idea came to me. A big painting with a blue background and a giant Indra in the center surrounded by my kittens, who she lives with and plays with every day.I draw my Indra all the time, both from life and from photos. I made a kind of Frankenstein, taking the body from here, the expression from there, the right paw from this photo, the kittens from drawings and also from photos, and I made this composition. What do you think?
