This work belongs to Antonio García Villarán's collage period , when he was still a Fine Arts student. It is made with inks he made himself and papers taken from old books he used to buy at the Thursday market in Seville. It depicts two models from the Faculty of Fine Arts resting on the platform, a common scene in life drawing classes.
It was first exhibited at the first art market organized within the Faculty itself, an initiative created by Antonio himself and a colleague to give visibility to student work. The work was sold there and purchased by a painting professor who owned an academy in Seville.
Following the professor's death, the work is once again available on the market, closing a cycle and recovering an important part of his artistic journey.
